Call for Vendors for the 2022 Fair

Coconino County Parks & Recreation is currently accepting vendor applications for the 20221 Coconino County Fair, scheduled for Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3 – Sept. 6 at Fort Tuthill County Park. Vendors may submit applications in four categories including amusement, food, commercial (indoor, outdoor, and midway) businesses, and nonprofits.

More than 40,000 people attend the fair which features exhibits by 4-H and community members, national, regional, and local entertainment, as well as food and commercial vendors. To promote local products and services, an early bird rate is being extended to Coconino County-based, for-profit businesses. Interested business owners and operators are encouraged to submit a vendor application by June 1 to take advantage of a 50 percent early bird discount for non-premium outdoor locations on the fairgrounds. Nonprofit vendors and food vendors are not eligible for early bird rates.

In consultation with Coconino County Health and Human Service, Coconino County Parks & Recreation is currently evaluating all COVID-19 mitigation protocols. Fair Staff will communicate any protocols to vendors (and attendees) as they develop.

More information and the vendor applications are available here.

David Nail to Perform Saturday Night

We are excited to announce that David Nail (website) will be performing at the upcoming Coconino County Fair on Saturday, September 4 at 8:00 pm on the Main Stage!

David Nail is performing in place of David Lee Murphy, who had to cancel due to illness.

Hailing from Kennett, Missouri, David Nail is well-respected up and down Music Row. The GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter’s early releases, I’m About To Come Alive, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, I’m A Fire and Fighter, ignited his reputation as an innovator and creative risk-taker yet left Nail feeling restless. Through dealing with his own journey of mental illness and the feeling of needing to “rebel against what people expect you to be,” Nail began making his most “organic” work to date, David Nail & The Well Ravens, with Jason Hall and Andrew Petroff. That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EP Oh, Mother, a reflective piece of work. That release was followed by Bootheel 2020, a project dedicated to the singer/songwriter’s hometown in the “bootheel” of Missouri. Nail plans on releasing more music throughout 2021, leaving behind any self-imposed restrictions. In Nail’s own words, “My philosophy has always been, I just hope to have a good enough year that I can have a next year while staying as true to myself as I possibly can.”
